Must Visit Place Rome

The capital of Italy, Rome has turned into one of the most popular destinations for tourists all over the world. It is European Union’s 4th most populated city and is widely popular for its history that spans more than 28 centuries. The art treasures and archaeology of the city attract millions of tourists every year. While it is the Vatican Museums and the Colosseum that attract the most number of visitors, the glorious city has much more to offer.

Some of the other most visited places in Rome are Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Church of San Luigi dei Francesci, Trastevere, and Piazza Navona. While the city has several ancient marvels to keep the visitors busy, if you do get time make sure that you also experience the local cuisine and the amazing nightlife which is considerably different than what you might have experienced anywhere in the world.  As a popular tourist destination, the public transport system is great and there is no shortage of ways to transport yourself between the sites.

As far as the climate of Rome is considered, it is highly consistent with seasons the city is experiencing when you visit. For instance, summers are hot and dry, winters are cold and chilly, and autumn and spring are mostly pleasant. Most of the people visit Rome between May and September when the weather is warm and sunny. This is also the time when the room rates are generally high. If you don’t like the crowd and want cheaper rooms, the period between October and May can be great. It is the winter season between these months but you probably won’t need anything more than a coat to beat the chills.
